  • Where does Swim America offer lessons?
In order to serve multiple communities within Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, Swat Swim America runs lessons out of several different community pools. These pools include Muskego HS, Franklin HS, Whitnall HS, New Berlin Eisenhower HS, Greendale HS and Wilson Park. With multiple locations, Swim America is able to make swimming lessons accessible to a wider range of people in the greater Milwaukee area.
  • What is the youngest age accepted for swim lessons
Typically, we can only accept swimmers who are 5 years old and up, but there are certain cases where we can make exceptions for 4-year-olds. If you have a 4-year-old who is interested in swim lessons, please contact coachjackson@swimswat.org to discuss this on a case-by-case basis. It is important to note that we do not offer swim lessons for adults at this time. Our focus is on providing top-quality swim instruction for children to help them learn basic water safety skills and improve their overall swimming ability.
  • How many levels are offered?
At Swim America, we have 10 stations with specific advancement goals designed to help your swimmer progress in their skills and abilities. These stations include water exploration, water adjustment, floating and kicking, and stroke development. As your swimmer progresses through our program, they will be able to swim 300 yards of freestyle, in addition to being able to swim the other 3 competitive strokes. Swimmers can level up at any point during a class. Our goal is to help your swimmer become a strong, confident, and competent swimmer.
  • Are only certain levels offered at certain times/locations?
No, you do not have to wait until a specific date or time to sign up for your child's swim lessons. We run all 10 levels of our program at every class offering regardless of dates/time/location. You simply sign up for the session that is most convenient for you! Our goal is to provide flexible scheduling options for our clients without compromising the quality of our swim lessons. We want to make sure that your child can learn to swim in a way that works best for your family's busy schedule. So, feel free to find a time and location that works for you and your child, and we will take care of the rest!
  • Who teaches the swim lessons at Swim America
Our swim lessons are conducted by a highly trained group of elite competitive swimmers who are professional lifeguards and certified by the American Swimming Coaches Association. Their experience and commitment to the sport of swimming give our swim lessons a distinct advantage over conventional lesson programs. They are skilled in teaching swimmers of all levels, from beginners to competitive swimmers. Our instructors use their knowledge and enthusiasm to create a fun and safe learning environment that promotes individual growth and confidence in the water.
  • Am I allowed to stay and watch my child swim during their lessons?
Absolutely! At Swim America, families are welcomed and encouraged to stay and watch their swimmer(s) in action. Our swim school values transparency and encourages parental involvement in their child's progress through our various levels. We understand that your child's safety and progress are important to you, and we strive to make sure our swim school provides an inclusive and enjoyable experience for both you and your child.
  • How long is each daily lesson?
Each 30-minute lesson consists of 26-28 minutes of instruction followed by 2-4 minutes of supervised free time. During the instruction period, our instructors use a variety of techniques such as games, drills, and repetition to help your child develop their swimming skills. We also believe that supervised free time is important for children to practice what they have learned and build their confidence in the water. Our lessons are designed to be engaging, safe, and effective, helping your child become a strong and confident swimmer.

Just bring your own towel and any additional personal items you may need. With everything else taken care of, get ready to dive in and make a splash!
